Come celebrate the positive momentum we've seen from the Disability Lead SWPA chapter at a networking event in Pittsburgh! We are proud of the success we are achieved so far, from making connections with elected officials, local organizations driving inclusion work in the region, institutional funders, corporations in SWPA, and especially the disability community. In fact, we've had tremendous success in recruitment with more than 30 chapter members. This includes our inaugural SWPA Institute cohort, made up of 16 passionate leaders with disabilities.
Mix and mingle with SWPA chapter Members, Fellows, and staff in person on Thursday, March 19. It will be a casual gathering of supporters and an opportunity to deepen connections as we continue building momentum in SWPA.
Please indicate if you require accommodations to fully participate when registration or in advance by emailing swpa@disabilitylead.org.
UPDATED COVID-19 Protocols for In Person Gatherings
As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities — and because there may be immunocompromised and medically vulnerable people in attendance at Disability Lead events — we ask for your partnership in creating and maintaining a safer environment for all. It is our collective responsibility to follow the below guidance and we appreciate your cooperation in advance. Staff will not be able to enforce these protocols so please keep yourself accountable.
Masking: While masks are not required at Disability Lead events, we welcome and encourage their use, especially in indoor spaces, as an added layer of protection. Masks, including clear masks, will be available at all events.
Health & Attendance: Within 10 days of the event, if you have tested positive and continue to test positive for COVID-19, are waiting for test results, have symptoms, feel sick or unwell, or have had close contact with someone who has tested positive or is ill, please do not attend.
Vaccinations & Testing: Guests are strongly encouraged to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations as advised by your medical professionals. If you are medically exempt, please take a COVID-19 antigen test within 24 hours of attending and only join us if your test result is negative.Together, we can help make our gatherings safer and more inclusive for everyone.
