Born and raised in a predominantly Latino community in the Northwest Side of Chicago, Bernardo Gomez is driven by his desire to give back to his community. He recently graduated from Loyola University of Chicago, earning a B.A. in Political Science and Global Studies with a minor in Spanish. Bernardo currently serves as a Community Engagement Manager for the City of Chicago. He also serves as the Chair of the City of Chicago’s Disability Employee Resource Group. Bernardo leads several public safety initiatives with the Community Safety Coordination Center (CSCC) and engagement with the Mayor’s Office of Community Engagement.
