Cheyenne Hennen is an artist, advocate, and Clinical Research Coordinator in the Dept. of PM&R at the Univ. of Pittsburgh. Cheyenne is a Penn State University graduate with a BA in Global and International Studies with minors in Asian Studies and Korean. As an individual with Sacral Agenesis, she is passionate about cultivating spaces that are accessible for all cultures and identities. After graduating Penn State, she served in Compass AmeriCorps providing direct support and English as a Second language instruction to Refugee and Immigrant families and children at Literacy Pittsburgh. She also spent time advocating for youth with disabilities at Parent Advocacy and Leadership Center (PEAL) which strives to empower and educate families on disability rights. Her goal is to decrease social and cultural stigmas around mental health and disability through education, creative expression, and community. In her free time she enjoys crafting, spending time in nature, sewing, and collecting physical media.
