
John Tague has been committed to improving the lives of people with disabilities in Pennsylvania for almost four decades.
Mr. Tague is a public policy and training consultant, and principal of JT Consulting Services, which advises companies and organizations on the creation of disability policies and training programs.
John is a long-time member of the City/ County Task Force on Disabilities He served on the Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations and State Vocational Rehabilitation Board. and is past chair of the Governor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities. In addition, Mr. Tague served as a member of the Board of Pittsburgh Regional Transit and of the Committee for Accessible Transportation (CAT), a Port Authority advisory council dedicated to improving transit for individuals with disabilities in Allegheny County. He is a past president of the Allegheny County Transit Council (ACTC) where he promoted concerns of frequent transit users. John currently serves as Chair of PA Transportation Alliance. He also serves on several other disability related organizations.
Mr. Tague serves on the City of Pittsburgh/ Allegheny County Taskforce on Disabilities, appointed to advise the Mayor and County Executive on disability issues.
An Erie native, Mr. Tague, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1969. He is a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral Parish, where he serves on the church’s Pastoral Council and Inclusion Ministry.
Mr. Tague is married with two college-aged daughters and resides in the East Liberty neighborhood iof Pittsburgh.
