Lauren Schrero is a civil rights attorney and nonprofit leader dedicated to advancing disability rights. She serves as Senior Attorney and Community Engagement Manager at Equip for Equality, where she provides direct representation on the Civil Rights Team and manages statewide initiatives, including the Disability Rights Consortium.
She co-founded and led The Nora Project, a nonprofit focused on teaching disability studies and advancing disability inclusion in pre-K through secondary classrooms, and co-authored its pioneering Standards for Inclusive Schools.
A proud graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Macalester College, Lauren lives in the Chicago suburbs with her family.
