Matt Bodett is a Chicago-based artist, poet, and mad advocate whose work reimagines cultural history through the lens of madness. As founder and director of the Center for Mad Culture, he creates platforms for mad artists to reclaim their narratives through exhibitions, performances, and publications. His work has been presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Art Institute of Chicago, Steppenwolf Theatre, and the Poetry Foundation, as well as the Freud Museum in London and the No Limits Festival in Berlin. He has been an artist in residence at MacDowell and Surf Point.
