Rosalind Moore

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Rosalind Moore, Member, and Fellow of the 2019 Institute, passed away Saturday, December 26th, 2020. Committed to both her family and social justice, Rosalind will be remembered as a passionate advocate who cared deeply about people. At Teamwork Englewood, where Rosalind served as Director of Programs, she worked to bring jobs and resources to the Greater Englewood community, including the CPS Safe Passage and Parent Mentoring programs designed to improve the lives of community residents. Through her involvement with Disability Lead, Rosalind was also a Field Foundation Fellow where she built on her own empowerment as a Black woman with a disability and extended it to her community by creating a network of support and action for Black women with disabilities in Englewood. We continue in our work to support the legacy of Rosalind’s disability leadership as her impact continues to be felt by her fellow community members and her city, more broadly. Rosalind Moore, Director of Programs at Teamwork Englewood, oversaw internal operations and initiatives including the CPS Safe Passage and Parent Mentoring programs designed to improve the lives of community residents. Through effective grant writing and partnerships, she secured and managed programs totaling $700K of the $1.8 million agency budget.
