Tayler Mathews is a Black Feminisms and Disability Politics scholar. Her research and advocacy center Black women and girls, and justice for survivors of gender-based violence. She recently completed a Public Policy Fellowship at the National Disability Institute, where she advocated for disabled survivors of financial abuse. She additionally provided implementation support for the Dignity in Pay Act, in partnership with the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities. Tayler joined the Disability Lead Institute as a Fellow in 2024. She is a Member of Disability Lead's Anti-Racism Transformation Team and serves on advisory and research committees of disability-focused organizations.
